So this morning I am pleased because there’s a news story on the BBC website about Bristol being the UK’s first cycling city. There was me thinking of learning to drive, and then the government decide to invest millions in cycling lanes, a bicycling rental network like Paris, a re-cycling scheme (do you see what they’ve done there?) which re-builds and repairs old bikes and state-of-the-art facilities for people commuting into the city by bike.
This is all good news, especially now I have a new bike. Let’s hope the city council extend the cycle lanes which often just peter out and disappear on some stretches of busy roads.
